Sometimes I wish I could walk through a magic door
And step onto my high school’s green tile floor
Walk up to Mary Ellen White, see what she’s doing on Friday night
Fall asleep in English class, try to grow my first mustache
Man those days flew by way too fast
Now I’m knee deep in the nine to five grind
But I’m 16 again when I close my eyes

CHORUS:
And do some underage thinkin’
When all that mattered in the world was,
“Hey man, where’re the party?” and girls girls girls!
Some underage thinkin’ ‘bout cars and roll and roll
That beat up black Camaro was a sight to behold
Keeps me from getting old when I’m underage thinkin’

Why’d I trade in that Camaro for a new Accord
Why don’t I say “why not?” anymore
Guess they call that growing up, happens to the best of us
But part of me won’t ever cave, I still got a little more hell to raise
Like I did back in those glory days
Don’t get me wrong, I aint living in the past
But when I drop in, I sure have a blast

CHORUS:
Doin’ a little underage thinkin’
When all that mattered in the world was,
“Hey man, where’re the party?” and girls girls girls!
Some underage thinkin’, speeding right by that state patrol
Ain’t no fun in always doing what you’re told
Keeps me from getting old when I’m underage thinkin’

CHORUS:
Do a little underage thinkin’
When all that mattered in the world
was, “Hey man, where’re the party?” and girls girls girls!
Some underage thinkin’ ‘bout cars and rock and roll
That Lynyrd Skynyrd concert was outta control
Keeps me from getting old when I’m underage thinkin’
