Hand in hand with my little girl
Every inch of this park, a magical world
All of a sudden she takes off running
Yelling daddy I want to show you something

Standing in a field of yellow flowers
As far as the eye can see
Some people cut ‘em down and call them weeds
But when she picks them for me
They’re as precious as gold
Just for me to hold
Melts my heart without even trying
With a fistful of dandelions

Hand in hand with my little girl
All grown up wearing makeup and pearls
I close my eyes and see her running
Look at her now, she’s really something

Standing in a church filled with flowers
She’s dressed in silk and lace
Everyone she’s ever loved
Is gathered here in this place
As she walks down the aisle
She turns to me and smiles
Melts my heart without even trying
With a fistful of dandelions

As precious as gold
Just for me to hold
Melts my heart without even trying
With a fistful of dandelions
